Hi, I'm David Jennings,author of SKINFLICKS: The Inside Story of the X-Rated Video Industry. The book was written with an advance from Zebra Books. But after my editor left the publisher under adverse circumstances, Zebra dropped the book. Then I got a great offer (at that time) from 1st Books Library (now Authorhouse). My history: I graduated from UCLA Film School in 1970 and made commercial and industrial films before becoming film and video manager for VCX, Inc. My own company, Superior Video, Inc., pioneering the first shot-on-video adult features for a growing couples market in the 1980s. After almost a dozen years in the business, I sold my company and spent many more years writing SKINFLICKS. Health problems have prevented me from promoting the book until now. I want to emphasize that SKINFLICKS is not pornography. It is about the history of pornography. I welcome all comments/opinions on the subject and will respond with the best of my rudimentary computer skills.
